Statement
Since discovering printmaking in late 2002, it has given me an outlet for ideas that have bottled up for many years. My main inspiration is the portrayal of individuals both real and imagined through a variety of circumstances and gestures. Some of my work is directly based on photographic images that I have taken over the years while others start out as simple sketches that evolve into representations of human beings. My goal is to create images that reflect the highs and lows of humanity equally while depicting how complex and fragile we all really are.
